Hello everyone, I would like to write to all of you
today about a great thing called lone solider in the IDF.I had a great pleasure of meeting a lone solider the
other day and I had a chance to hear about his story. First thing I would like to tell you about is that
the whole time we were taking it felt like his love towards our very own little
country is greater than my own and almost anyone that I can think of right now.
His name is Eran and he was born
and raised in Atlanta Georgia to two jewfish American parents. Eran recently
graduated from an Ivy League university in the US.
It is important
to mentioned that he graduated with honors as the president of the students
body, several attractive job offered were waiting for him as he was graduating
as well as a school scholarship for his masters degree, and against all that he
had decided to leave his country, to leave his family, to leave his very
successful life in the US , and put a hold on his very bright future and to
join the IDF. I would like to take this opportunity and salute this young man.
Eran made
me realize what it would take to make that kind of decision, mainly
because he wasn’t born or raised in Israel. Till I met Eran, I must admit, I
used to take the whole thing called " serving in the IDF / join the
IDF" for granted.
During
our very short conversation Eran mentioned to tell me that in his humble
opinion the Israeli women are not just the most beautiful woman in the world
but they also the most interesting and complex personalities he had ever
incurred.
Eran
had inspired me to be a better person and to look beyond myself. That
was funny…
Thank
you Eran, and I hope this "journey" was worth it.

Very interesting! This guy, Eran, sounds like a very nice man. One with values that he is not rush to give up on. It takes a lot of courage to leave your comfortable life and replacing it with an actual risk. And……..It's so nice to hear that the Israeli women are so highly rated in his eyes. The Israeli men have something to learn from him ;)
