Military officials as school teachers

Today at school we had a debate on Military officials, and their place within the Israeli school system, if it’s a good thing or a bad thing. My group said that it is a good thing. We said that military officials are demonstrated as people that have prescience, and are charismatic. They are in great shape and are viewed as great role models. They motivate others as individuals as well as in a group.
Placing officers in schools as educators can contribute to many great things. Such as, educating students to work in teamwork, responsibility by following schedules and being on time, motivation, and following through with missions.  Military officials are also used to working hard and long hours and are committed to their jobs. Just like soldiers view their officers as role models, so can the students in the classroom.  For example as stated in Maariv, there is a program at Beit Berel that trains officials into becoming teachers and receiving their education degree.  70% of the military officials work as teachers, 15%  are trained to be principles in the schools, and 11 % are combining teaching and management. This program is very successful in schools and it contributes to the future of our students. Discipline, motivation, teamwork, organization, and the love for Israel (our country), are very important issues that need to be pursued in the classrooms and for the future of our students.  Zionism is a very big issue and our students need to be aware of the problems that surround Israel.  Throughout the years, the amount of recruits have dropped in number dramatically. However, with the help of these officials the fear of joining the army can decrease, and the love of our country Israel can be increased.  The officials can also give the students beneficial tools that will aid them in the future. For example, following schedules that they will need in the future either at work, home, and other personal life. Less dependent on their parents, and more independent.  This can bring these children to a new level pf maturity. Even though people may think otherwise,  the army trains these officials to become leaders,  and being great at it.   A great teacher, is a leader that can teach anything.  And that is what a great soldier is made to do.  I wanted to share with you our thoughts.. hope you find it interesting,, And now, do you agree or disagree?
